Projects.

Rowsell sails currently has a few very special projects on the go. The first is a rowing boat for the Southern Ocean, this will be the first attempt at rowing this treacherous stretch of water. The sail we have been asked to make is for emergencies only and will stabilise the craft in high seas and storms and also to help the craft plot a course around ice bergs.

We have also been asked to make a new mainsail, trampolines and cabin cover for an F27, this has been one of our larger winter projects in 07/08.

Another winter project was a new outdoor awning for the FnL public house in Exmouth, to cover the smoking area and to help create a covered outdoor space for the customers.

The sail plan for Guy Rowsell’s new custom Cedar canoe (Freedom 17) is now finished and we look forward to the construction stages of this project.
The craft itself is returning to times of old, but with a toe in the future. The sails will be complete with 16” seams and sewn in eyes.
