May 2008: Richard Harris and Jason Stokes win Merlin Rocket open at Cookham in Passing Cloud 1079 sailing at an increasable 29 stone! The boys beat all the modern boats in the old girl they were using 22"6 rig plan and their power was supplied by Rowsell Sails.

May 2008: Rowsell sails sponsors team Calvert. With a great start to the season team Calvert win the Salcombe merlin open and also gain first at the Glyn Charles pursuit race. "We feel hot" team calvert

Apr 2008: New Website. www.andyhills.com have revamped the website for the 2008 season.

Mar 2008: Hayman to race scorpions. Our apprentice Max (Redman) Hayman is doing incredibly well with his sailmaking and has recently bought himself a Scorpion for campaigning this summer.

Mar 2008: Rowsell enters the cover market. With the arrival of Spoons, we are heading into the cover market including tailor made spray hoods, speed boat covers, sailstackers, bimini’s, dodgers and will also be taking on one offs to your specification.

Feb 2008: The Big news of the winter!! Mark (spoons) Jenkins of RMW sails has returned to his roots at Rowsell sails.
Spoons began sailmaking here in the 80’s, he has sinced worked almost everywhere including Kemp sails, osen sails and eventually setting up RMW sails some 5 years ago. Spoons brings with him a wealth of all round sailmaking experience. In the last few years his sails have been responsible for winning INT14 championships and Skiff worlds. This gives Rowsell sails an unrivalled knowledge of the most advanced rigs on the planet.
Spoons has also brought with him all the skills needed for traditional sailmaking and is renowned in this field all of the UK. So whether it be a Lugge, Shrimper, Classic Crabber or any bespoke craft we have the traditional skills required for your sailplan.

Dec 2007: Rowsell sails have aquired a B14 no 756. Rowsell/Hayman have been developing new sails for the coming 08 season, so get your order in to avoid spring/summer delay.
